DAS staff have been great from on the day adoption process and explaining all details I needed, to today where I could send updates about progress. Reception have always been great to chat to and they have always asked what dog I am updating about.
This gorgeous boy Alfie has been the goodest boy, he has been through some hells since his original owner passed away (a friend). The staff took as good care of him as they could when they got him before I adopted him.
DAS really need more funding for what they do. If it wasn't for them, I probably wouldn't of had the opportunity to find Alfie ever again.
I was finally ready for a new dog, and after going to a few places for a rescue, I arrived to this place and was immediately impressed and above all else amazed by the staff! They were all kind, considerate and once I saw my girl Lola I knew she was the one 🥺 I got her on the spot and she has settled into my home perfectly! I wanted to leave this review as a thank you!
Absolutely best place to adopt a new furry friend, the staff were do kind and happy to see a dog get a new home. A special shout out to Lauren who helped us greet the dog, have plenty of info and was so kind, we have our new friend Tyson!
I adopted my last two dogs from the Canberra pound back in 2009. Since then there have been some changes, before I felt welcome to come and go and meet the dogs, take them out to the yard and get to know them. You are after all choosing a member of the family. Today it is very different, it felt like I was visiting someone in prison, I had to sign in and was then followed closely by a staff member as I looked at the dogs, I wasn't even allowed to let them sniff my hand let alone walk them. I was then escorted out. A very unfriendly vibe. Not a way to find your next best friend
We got our beautiful boy from here ...the staff are great, they give you all the information you need about your fur baby as they can.
The pets are well looked after by all the staff and facility.
I highly recommend visiting their website to find your next fur baby...
Great sopt to get a dog will recommend to anyone
Adopted a dog from DAS, they were great in assisting with the adoption so that I chose the right dog for me. He has since become a part of the family and I would definitely recommend to come here to find a dog instead of buying one.
We adopted tank and he is a dream, just a beautiful dog and the staff are amazing
